ACORDE National CEPYME 2024 Award for Technological Innovation

Manuel Lobeira, CEO of ACORDE, received the award from the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez.

On March 6, the 2024 CEPYME Awards ceremony was held at Banco de Santander’s Auditorium, presided over by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and attended by Vice President Yolanda Díaz, CEPYME President Gerardo Cuerva, CEOE President Antonio Garamendi, and other notable figures.

This important award recognizes the technological innovation work of the Cantabrian company ACORDE, experts in radiofrequency within the Defense and Space sectors.

With over 25 years of experience, ACORDE has established itself as one of the major international benchmarks in the industry, boasting key clients such as NASA and the European Space Agency, among others.

ACORDE’s CEO, Manuel Lobeira, accompanied by Santiago Diaz, Director of Internal Management and Quality, received the award from Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.

After receiving the award, Lobeira told the media, “It is an honor to accept this accolade on behalf of the entire ACORDE team. It also reaffirms the commitment we have made since the company’s inception to technological innovation in areas that are now so strategic for our country, such as Defense and Space.”

“We will continue to work with the same dedication and determination to tackle the exciting challenges ahead, including robust research initiatives like the development of the world’s two largest radio telescopes, which will be located in Australia and South Africa, with the ambitious goal of exploring the origins of the universe.”

Future Projects

ACORDE has ambitious projects underway, including a new line of products for both manned and unmanned aircraft, falling under major European programs.

They will also continue to expand their portfolio of products for satellite and electronic warfare applications, developing new solutions for low Earth orbit (LEO) constellations as well as higher orbits (MEO and GEO). Furthermore, ACORDE will continue participating in programs aimed at enhancing electronic warfare capabilities, ensuring that defense integrators can provide cutting-edge systems on a global scale.
